About Robert "Bo" Parfet

Robert "Bo" Parfet is a Denver, Colorado-based investment professional, author, and mountain climber who is committed to contributing to positive social change in the world through Denali Venture Philanthropy. He established the investment fund in 2013, and has since supported several socially-minded ventures. Robert "Bo" Parfet concurrently served four years as CEO and CIO at Jumar Management and has a background in corporate finance as a former investment banker on Wall Street.

As an author, Robert Parfet has written the books Die Trying: One Man's Quest to Conquer the Seven Summits and They Lived to Tell the Tale: True Stories of Modern Adventure from the Legendary Explorers Club. As the title of the first book suggests, he has climbed the highest mountain on each of the seven continents. In addition to the Explorers Club, he is a member of the Gordini Athlete Team for mountain climbing.

A member of the Omicron Delta Epsilon honor society, Mr. Parfet earned an MBA in finance and investments from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management in 2006. He previously completed a master's degree in applied economics at the University of Michigan and bachelor's degree in economics at Colorado State University.
